Card Tutorial: Simple Cupcake Card
Materials
- Bronze Metallic Cardstock from The Paper Company
- Ruby Jewel Metallic Cardstock from The Paper Company
- Cupcake paper from Creative Imaginations
- Adhesives – paper adhesive and mini & large pop dots
- Small scissors for detailed cutting
Instructions
- Cut a piece of Bronze metallic shimmer paper in half. Score and fold in half to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. The card will have a landscape orientation.
- Cut a piece of Ruby Jewel metallic shimmer paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Center on the bronze cardstock and adhere.
- From the Cupcake patterned paper cut out four “cupcake” sentiments … they form a square around each cupcake image. It’s easiest to cut a big square and then cut around the words.
- Adhere the Cupcake sentiments in a square centered on the ruby jewel cardstock with mini pop dots.
- Cut out one of the cupcakes from the patterned paper. Adhere to the center inside the cupcake sentiments with a large pop dot.
I chose to have the inside of this card blank, but an additional element to the card could be a stamped sentiment of “happy birthday” on the inside, another cupcake cut out and adhered inside or a fun rub-on or sticker!
Thanks for creating with me!
