Card Tutorial: Simple Cupcake Card

Materials

• Bronze Metallic Cardstock from The Paper Company
• Ruby Jewel Metallic Cardstock from The Paper Company
• Cupcake paper from Creative Imaginations
• Adhesives – paper adhesive and mini & large pop dots
• Small scissors for detailed cutting

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of Bronze metallic shimmer paper in half. Score and fold in half to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. The card will have a landscape orientation.
2. Cut a piece of Ruby Jewel metallic shimmer paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Center on the bronze cardstock and adhere.
3. From the Cupcake patterned paper cut out four “cupcake” sentiments … they form a square around each cupcake image. It’s easiest to cut a big square and then cut around the words.
4. Adhere the Cupcake sentiments in a square centered on the ruby jewel cardstock with mini pop dots.
5. Cut out one of the cupcakes from the patterned paper. Adhere to the center inside the cupcake sentiments with a large pop dot.

I chose to have the inside of this card blank, but an additional element to the card could be a stamped sentiment of “happy birthday” on the inside, another cupcake cut out and adhered inside or a fun rub-on or sticker!
