Card Tutorial: Cupcake Card!
It’s May! My favorite month and not just because it’s my birthday month! I love the spring with the smell of freshness and beautiful new growth! As it is my birthday month, my first tutorial this month will be a birthday card! This card is really simple and fun – and only requires one sheet of paper!
Cupcake Card
Materials
- Cupcake Cutie cardstock from Pink Paislee
- Pink Pastel fluid chalk cat’s eye ink from ColorBox
- Adhesives – paper adhesive, glue dots and mini pop dots
- Medium sized button
- Happy Birthday acrylic stamp from Imaginisce
- Black ink
- Corner rounder
Instructions
- Cut a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of polka dot pattern from the patterned cardstock. Score and fold in half to make a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. The card will have a landscape orientation. Round all corners with a small corner rounder. Distress the edges with pastel pink ink.
- Cut out the cupcake decal printed on the patterned paper. Distress the edges with pastel pink ink and adhere to the center of the card.
- Cut around the “you’re my cupcake” sentiments. Distress the edges with pastel pink ink and adhere to the top of the cupcake using mini pop dots.
- Stamp “Happy Birthday” in black ink in the center of the cupcake
- Adhere a button to the center of the ‘cherry’ topped on the cupcake.
- Distress the edges of the inside of the card. Cut a piece of 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 of the polka dot patterned paper. Distress the edges and adhere to the center of the inside of the card.
