This weekend I finished my first Christmas card box. I used Bo Bunny’s new Christmas paper with a “Believe” theme. I love their paper this year – it is beautiful paper, gorgeous colors, and really neat patterns. I got some coordinating cutouts and chipboard stickers with the paper and thought these would be perfect for another card box – Christmas-style.

I posted pictures of said box in my previous post, but I’ll describe it in further detail here. Each side of the box is decorated – with the same paper as the background (white with green distressed edges and green and gold swirls and swooshes with bits of red accents here and there). The front of the box says “Believe” and is adorned with a gold ribbon tied in a bow with a red clasp. Both sides of the box are decorated with some green paper (of the same line) that has bits of holly and berries and subtle swirls in white. The back of the box is decorated with more coordinating paper – red and white decorated with lots of Christmasy words matted on green cardstock. A bit of gold ribbon tied in a bow with a cute metal charm that says “Merry Christmas”. The top of the box is decorated with four corner edges made from the same red and green paper and the handle of the box is tied with lots of green, gold and silver ribbon with two round tags that say “Joy” and “Noel”.

The box comes with 5 decorated Christmas cards made with the same paper and decorated with similar cut outs, ribbon and stamps. The purchaser of this box will also get to choose one card on my etsy site FREE.

The box and 5 cards are selling for $30 and is a great Christmas gift for someone (or a great decoration!). Please check my etsy site at www.l7designs.etsy.com!

I ran into a bit of a sticky spot with the recipe box I was making. The scrapbooking store here in Boise no longer sells the fixin’s for decorating recipe boxes or recipe books. I was needing some embellishments that a few weeks ago they had, but discovered they had taken them all away. Never fear, though, I know of another store that I can (hopefully) get them, so hopefully I will have the box finished mid-week this week.

Since my recipe box idea has been thwarted for the time being, tomorrow I am planning on devoting myself to making more cards – some Christmas, birthday and thank yous.

Thanks for reading with me!
