10 Day Challenge – Day 6
We’re over the hump and into the last stretch of our 10 Day Challenge! I hope all my wonderful readers have enjoyed seeing all these fantastic new cards and meeting these amazing artists as I have! Just a reminder that my entire shop is having a 10% off sale through July 31 … sale prices are marked so we don’t have to mess around with refunds and separate invoices!
Also, on August 1st, my monthly e-newsletter will be sent out! This month I will be talking about embossing and doing a little comparison study of American Crafts’ new line of embossing powders against Ranger and Stampendous’ powders. I’m chose these three to compare because they are the powders I have here
I know there are other companies with embossing powders (Stampin’ Up, etc) and would love to hear anyone’s thoughts on those, if you have used them! Also included in each of my e-newsletters is an exclusive coupon, a feature project idea and two Budget-friendly cards for under $5! Click on the “Receive My Newsletter” link to the left to sign up!
Acetate Thank You card
A while ago, I took an acetate card class at our local Archiver’s store. When we took the class I wasn’t too enthused about using acetate – it can be a huge pain to work with and it really doesn’t cooperate very well. Perhaps it was the designs they presented in the class, but I swore I wouldn’t use acetate again with my cards. Then inspiration hit me in the middle of the night a couple weeks ago, and I really liked what I came up with. With acetate, a whole new world of creativity is opened up. Experiment with layering embellishments and other elements on the acetate so when you open the card up it’s like a completely different card! Anyway, I made a card similar to this a couple weeks ago and it sold the day after I listed it, so I decided to do it again! Click on the picture above to view the posting!
PinkyCreations
Today I’d like to introduce you to the fun shop of PinkyCreations! PinkyCreations specializes in (and I quote) “creating quality stationery, invitations, tags, notecards and of course greeting cards!“. She designs a lot of printed stationery and invitations that are really cool (LOVE the Shower Invites!). The card I picked to feature, though, is a really fun and funky congratulations card. I love the colors of this card and the “retro” design! Click on the card above to view the listing! Also check out her blog at PinkyCreations-pink.blogspot.com!
Thanks for creating with us!

Great cards, I love the look of the acetate. And the crisp clean look of the retro card is really cool.

Great choices! Your thank you acetate card is very unique! Nice job. And the simplicity of the retro circles is relaxing.
